We had Group Therapy's telephone numbers and e-mail, with Ian having a day time job, he was not around to reply immediately. Ultimately we struggled to find a date within the deadline (21st January 2011) to fit as all. Ian from group Therapy is also in another band. We then decided with approval from our Executive Producer and our teacher, members from the band and my group and another group (the unknown band- now The Harmonettes) would film in the same location on the same day - 23rd January
This has positive and negative effects for us, the other group will be able to help us film and vice versa. We also decided as a group that we would film in the morning and the other group would film after. This may be time saving as the other group won't have to set up again, just adjust the equipment already there.
Another worrying matter within the group was our budget of £0!
We needed to design a set, use props and clothing on no budget at all. We have worked our way around this by asking the band members to wear certain clothes they hopefully have.
The location we are using is new, so it won't looked run down at all. At the moment our initial idea is to have our band performing at a wedding, this is very realistic and will portray a certain image that Group Therapy can show their potential customers and they will see they are serious about wedding functions.
18th January
After finding out by Ian on the telephone that the band no longer wanted to perform at The Peppercorns Theatre, this raised a new issue of location. We then decided to switch our location to Sawtry Community College hall. We would still use Sunday 23rd January to film and after confirmation from Ian, they would be there at 10am. A problem that also occurred was trying to get permission to open the school on a Sunday. We have filled out a blue form taken from the office to book out the hall on a Sunday, our media teacher and executive producer would also have to be here on the day of filming.
We also found out today that Alex (producer) who is also filming the behind the scenes footage would not be attending the day of filming as she had not been able to get the time of her part-time job.
This left myself and Fran to man cameras, operate the lighting, take promotional stills, take photographs for the album cover and poster, film behind the scenes and film an interview with the band member in a very short amount of time.
