Formed in 2004, following a couple of jam sessions, the initial line-up was "Disco" Dave Montgomery-Law (guitar, vocals), Sarah "Spuddie" Rees (keyboard, vocals), Simon "Ocky" Ockenden (vocals, harmonica, kazoo), Mike Williams (bass) and Ian "Wurz" Worsfold (drums, vocals).
After Mike's abduction by aliens the band were joined by Dr Keith Mason (formerly lead guitarist with Live Wire) on bass.
Keith stayed with Group Therapy for 18 months, during which time the band recorded their live mini-album, "Kicks, Bricks 'n' Sticks". In a fit of pique, Keith moved to the Planet Harrold in early 2007 so, after much persuasion and beer, Ian Munday agreed to inherit the poison chalice of being the band's bassist.
Then, in Spring 2008, Keith decided he missed the band a bit and has re-joined on guitar. So Now Group Therapy is now a Six.
